A Boudoir Photoshoot is your permission to pause

Life. What can I say other than sometimes it just gets in the way of how we want to feel. Especially as women. We have a tendency to get lost in endless to-do lists, chores, work, kids...all the beautiful stuff that life gives us. But with that comes the reality of all that it brings as well, both good and bad.

I don't need to tell you the good. You know what brings you joy in life. But tell me if this sounds familiar at all?

You wake up and your mind instantly begins to race with all the things you have to accomplish in the day. You rush to get the kids ready for school. You take what time you have left and rush to get yourself ready for work. Before you leave the house you have to make sure that the animals are fed, the dishes are done, and you remembered to switch the laundry. You get to work, spend 8 hours solving other people's problems. You come home and do it all again. Dinner, homework, bedtime routines. And somewhere around 10pm maybe you finally sit down and realize you haven't thought about yourself or what you need once today.

Not once.

And it's not just today. It's been weeks. Months maybe. If we are being honest with ourselves, it may even be years.

Years since you recognized the version of you that used to put on a good outfit just because it felt good. The version of you that used to feel sexy in your own skin when you looked in the mirror. But now when you look in the mirror you wonder, where did I go? When did I stop caring? Why do I always feel like shit about myself.  Well that version of you is still there. She just keeps getting pushed to the bottom of the priorities.

The Correlation Nobody Wants to TAlk About

The more we pour into everyone else and the less we invest in ourselves, the worse we feel. Not just physically tired. But disconnected. Like you've been running on autopilot so long you forgot what it felt like to actually inhabit your bady. You've simply been operating in survival mode for too long.

And then on top of this you see the beauty standards everywhere you look and the climb back feels impossible before you even start. So you don't. You just keep surviving.

A sexy photoshoot in our Fort Worth boudoir studio isn't a cure for that and it won't change how you prioritize yourself over other people on a daily basis. I hate to say it, but I am being honest. It does do something specific however. It gives you a day fully dedicated to you. That pause that maybe, not maybe, but definitely needed. No to-do list. No kids running around screaming, "Mom." Just a fun day dedicated to caring for yourself, about yourself, and reclaiming that version of you that you used to feel good looking at.

We don't need anything from you. Your only job is to show up and feel good.

That's it.

With any of our full service experiences you get professional hair and makeup done the day of your boudoir photoshoot. You step in front of a camera in a space that was built for exactly this, and for a few hours the world can melt away. And you can just be you...unfiltered, raw, seen. Our north Fort Worth boudoir studio is a soft place for you to exhale. A place where it is safe to vent. It is a place where you don't have to earn anything.  You don't have to lose the weight first or wait until things slow down. You just have to decide that you are worth a few hours of your own time. And if you question that, then let me remind you of the old saying, "You can't pour from an empty cup." Fill your cup. Take time for you.

So That's what a sexy photoshoot actually is.

It's not a performance. Maybe you are doing it as a gift for a significant other. But I am here to tell you that it's not just for that. It should always be a gift to yourself first. Even if that gift is giving yourself some much needed time to reconnect with you.

If you're ready to take it and book your own luxury boudoir experience with Lock and Key Photography, then I would love to be the one to hold that space for you.
